The last few months have been good for getting more time to paint - it's so satisfying to try something new and make some progress.

I haven't posted any new paintings since last June, so here are a few more. I'm exploring a soft edged wet-on wet techniques - really exciting for painting hills and mist. This is from Feb to April this year.

Oriental Bay in June. A day of thunder, hail and icy rain. I love days like this when you can warm up later with a hot coffee, and shelter at a nearby spot. Godrays are tricky to do, so I’m going to have to practice some more - I just have to find them.
