Young Creators 8-10years - Tuesday & Wednesday

And just like that… another collection of finished masterpieces!

The Tuesday and Wednesday Young Creators have worked so hard on these pieces, exploring techniques, experimenting with colour and texture, and adding their own creative flair along the way.

So much creativity, perseverance and pride in these finished pieces. I think they should be pretty proud of themselves!

Here’s a little sneak peek at what I’ve been working on for next term.

There’s a LOT that goes on behind the scenes at AbsoluteLee Artsy. Every term is carefully planned from start to finish, with new projects, new techniques, new ideas and plenty of preparation going into creating experiences that are exciting, achievable and a little different from what our artists have done before.

I spend many hours researching, designing, testing, making samples and preparing resources before an artwork ever makes it into the studio.

I’m always looking for ways to keep things fresh, challenge our artists and give them the opportunity to discover something new, rather than simply repeating the same projects each term.

And Term 4 is no exception!

- Magical creatures
- Enchanted worlds
- Mischievous characters
- New techniques
… and plenty of AbsoluteLee Artsy magic!

Artists have been busy in the studio this week!

Birds, bugs and blooms have been filling the studio with colour, creativity and plenty of personality.

We’ve had moments of “WOW!”, a little perseverance when things didn’t quite go to plan, lots of experimenting, and plenty of proud smiles along the way.

These artists have many projects on the go, each piece being created with so much love. We’ve learnt about analogous colours, warm and cool colours and monochromatic colours.

As we settle into another exciting term at AbsoluteLee Artsy, I’ve been reflecting on just how grateful I am.

This term I’m incredibly lucky to have 50 amazing artists in the studio, making it the biggest term in the four terms I’ve been running.

To every student, and to every parent and caregiver who has chosen to support AbsoluteLee Artsy, thank you. Thank you for trusting me, encouraging creativity, and allowing me to be part of your child’s artistic journey. Your support means more than you know.

It’s been wonderful seeing the studio buzzing with creativity already, and I can’t wait to watch everyone’s confidence and skills continue to grow throughout the term. Thank you for making this little dream of mine possible.

I’m delighted to announce the term 2 awards!

Creative Award - Neve

Neve has a real love for creating. She throws herself into every project with excitement and is always willing to have a go at something new. She isn’t afraid to experiment with different techniques and puts so much thought into every piece, especially her use of colour. Once Neve starts creating, she is completely immersed, making the most of every minute in the studio.

Growth & Effort Award - Gretchen

From the moment Gretchen walks through the door, she is excited to see what we’ll be creating. She listens carefully, watches each step, and gives every project her full attention. Over the past three terms, her growth has been amazing to watch. She has become more confident, more willing to challenge herself, and continues to put in her best effort every week.
