Our third special guest artists in the ‘GRAY BARTLETT – PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS’ - INVERCARGILL SHOW is JACINTA KEREPETI

Following the New Zealand Country Music Awards circuit has earned Jacinta countless awards and earned the respect of her fellow peers.

2016 – Gold Guitar Awards – 40+ Overall Winner
2014 – Gold Guitar Awards – 40+ Gospel, Traditional & NZ Composition.
2008 – Gold Guitar Awards – Senior Gospel
2003 – NZ Trucking & Music Convention Overall Winner
1990 – Southland Entertainer of the Year (as part of trio ‘Natani’, with sister Davina and former LIPSTICK member, Toni Biddle
1991 – Tamworth Country Music Festival –with ‘Natani’.

Jacinta had a lengthy career in Australia, forging a very successful following where she was fortunate to perform as support act to many touring artists at the time. Although, proud moment number one would have to be performing in the Auckland Town Hall in 1989 as a duo with Davina for their Great Grandmother & NZ icon, Dame Whina Cooper.

Jacinta studied music at both the Southland Polytechnic and Christchurch Jazz Schools and as a result is in high demand as a vocal tutor. Actively supporting music events in the community keeps Jacinta’s finger on the pulse and enables her to pass her talents on to the next generation.

Kayla has a passion for the performing arts and felt privileged to play the role of ‘Meg’ in the Invercargill Musical Theatre ‘Phantom of the Opera’ 2015 and the role of ‘Miss Lark’ in 2016 production of Mary Poppins.

This year she was awarded the Southland Entertainment Awards IMT ‘Rising Star’ award. In 2011 she won the Foveaux Harmony Chorus Singing Scholarship.

One of our special guest artists on the ‘GRAY BARTLETT – PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS’ - INVERCARGILL SHOW is
JAYDIN SHINGLETON.

Jaydin (Jay) is a 17 year old, year 13 student at Kaiapoi High School in Christchurch. He started singing at an early age, singing with his family from the age of 4 then moving on to singing and playing at country music clubs and eventually competing at country music awards.

Jay has always had a passion for country music and is relatively self-taught in both singing and guitar although was strongly influenced by his grandfather and Mother. He has been honoured to have won several awards throughout the South Island and most recently, overall titles at Blenheim and Westport and intermediate overall runner up at this year's Gore Gold Guitar awards. He has also recently become a graduate of the CMAA academy in Tamworth Australia after winning the Camarata scholarship in Westport. This experience was invaluable and reconfirmed his love of country music and his desire to follow his dreams and continue his grandfather's legacy.

So don’t miss out on hearing this talented young performer sing at Gray’s concert at the INVERCARGILL CIVIC THEATRE on Saturday 13th August – A SHOW NOT TO BE MISSED.
