Hui Karaitiana This page is for Christians (from any denomination) who are committed to strengthen their bi cultural understandings of tāngata whenua.

Maungārongo ki te Whenua is a movement of praise, prayer and prophetic proclamation to heal our whenua. Jackie West has facilitated workshops in Lower Hutt in 2016 and 2017 in the Lower Hutt region. The workshops helped believers build their Te Reo capacity. The groups groups also went on to local marae such as Koraunui, Te Kakano, Wainuiomata and Waiwhetu Marae. In April 2021 Jackie facilitated t

wo workshops on Bi-cultural Relations in Churches purposed to create discussions around the Treaty of Waitangi and its' relevance for Christian's today. These were facilitated at Central Baptist, Invercargill and The Pod, South City Invercargill. In 2021 there will be weekly zoom hui to facilitate korero for anyone who has faith in Ihu Karaiti and is wanting to start somewhere in their Te Reo journey. Invercargill residents are encouraged to join this platform as we look to visit local marae later in the year.
