We are delighted to join in the Civic Theatre - Invercargill 120th Birthday celebrations, bringing entertainment to the stage which holds so many special memories for our performers, musicians, creatives, volunteers and members.

This year, we’re celebrating 120 years of the Civic Theatre ❤️

To mark the occasion, we have two anniversary events coming up.

🍽️ Dinner in the Spotlight: Friday 13 November

Celebrate 120 years of the Civic with a special evening on our stage. Enjoy a five-course dining experience by MASH Catering Limited showcasing the flavours of Murihiku Southland, with delicious Domaine Thomson Wines. Throughout the evening, Invercargill Musical Theatre will bring back to life some of their much-loved performances from across the years.

🎭 Free Community Open Day: Saturday 14 November

Step behind the curtain to see parts of the Civic Theatre you may not usually get to experience. Discover its rich history and learn more about the people and stories that have shaped the Civic over the past 120 years.

Explore the theatre at your own pace, or join one of our free guided tours, departing at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm.

That’s a wrap on PRISCILLA, Queen of the Desert.

To everyone who came, cheered, laughed, sang along and showered us with love - thank you for making Priscilla an unforgettable celebration of joy, friendship and fabulousness.

Due to popular demand we are opening the gallery in the Civic tomorrow and Saturday!
There are restricted sight lines a couple of times during the show from the back 2-3 rows, otherwise the view from the gallery is great.
All tickets are only $55 + fees.
