Introducing our June 2026 Adjudicator - Emily Gupwell!
Emily is the Creative Director at Danzworx Upper Hutt, where she leads the artistic direction, choreography and production of performances while teaching ballet, jazz, funk and lyrical across all ages. With over 17 years of teaching experience and more than 26 years in dance and performance, she has trained and worked across a wide range of styles including tap, jazz, ballet, musical theatre, contemporary and hip hop.
As a former competition dancer, Emily has competed throughout New Zealand and performed in a variety of shows, advertisements, music videos and live performances. She is passionate about nurturing dancers through honest, constructive feedback while celebrating musicality, storytelling and individuality.
Emily is excited to be adjudicating at the upcoming Invercargill Tap competitions and looks forward to meeting you all and seeing the talent each performer brings to the stage!
