About the Event
Waahi Whaanui Trust, in collaboration with Creative Huntly, and Huntly College warmly invite you and your whaanau to join us for a Raahui Pookeka Christmas Festival. This kaupapa reflects Waahi Whaanui Trust’s vision of Whenua Ora, Wai Ora, Whaanau Ora by fostering connection, community pride, and wellbeing. It also aligns with Creative Huntly’s mission to Create, Imagine, inspire

— offering opportunities for tamariki, rangatahi, kaumaatua, and whaanau to come together in a safe, inclusive environment. Our whaanau, and our community is Huntly College’s focus on growing partnerships within our community. This event celebrates the diverse communities of Raahui Pookeka while strengthening whanaungatanga, kotahitanga, and cultural expression.

Pack a picnic, bring a seat, and come join the Waitangi celebrations at the lake.

Enjoy Pops games, volleyball, and a kaumātua tent for those aged 60+. Sit back, relax, and enjoy our very own home-grown talent — guaranteed to impress.

We’ll be closing the day with Madz Parker and her band.
