*YA GOTTA FEEL THE FEELS*
Let's get real, huh
Its not all bloody s**tty fluffy bunnies and sweet roses, yeah?!
Small biz is fu***ng hard work!
Its enormous hours, mistakes and bad judgements. Its doubts and fears and a huge storm cloud of unknown unknowable things. Its loneliness and headaches and, yes, tears! A lot of tears.
And trying to run a small biz, even one that is successful, in these times is exceptionally stressful!
Remember that the person behind (or in front of) that small biz has normal s**t going on as well. Parents, kids, cars that need work, lawns that need mowing, loved ones that are missed dearly, health questions, power bills, a sore tooth, extra pounds that won't budge, choosing between cooking or ordering pizza and then feeling guilty for choosing pizza.
Small biz people are real people. With real lives. Give them some love. Support them, encourage them, hold the space for them when they just can't put the next step across the line. You don't have to fix anything, but let them know you care, let them break down and allow them to feel the feels. Hold them up...
Don't stay away because they are busy. They run a business... they are ALWAYS busy! They are, above everything else, human!!!
Today, and every day till Xmas, reach out to a small biz owner, even if you don't know them, and encourage them, support them, tell them that they make a difference. YOU will make a difference...
