The wrap up from Trackside NZ of yesterday’s Weir Tours Egmont Cup….

While those of us who were on the track have finally dried out and thawed out we have to celebrate what an fab day of racing it was! Even in the less than spring type weather the crowds indoors packed the place and enjoyed the ERC incredible hospitality!

Huge thanks to the local sponsors for supporting the day and a huge thanks to all the locals who braved the unseasonable weather to support an exciting days racing!

Won't just be the ice cream treats for the kids available tomorrow for our Egmont Cup race meet. The Morning Ritual will also be on course - and from what we hear some of the best coffee Taranaki has on offer!

It’s a big day on the calendar for the Egmont Racing Club, and we’re incredibly grateful to have Weir Tours playing such a major part in making it happen!

IT’S EGMONT CUP EVE!

The fields are out and it’s shaping up to be a fab day of racing at Hāwera tomorrow!

There’s plenty happening off the track too, with fun for the whole family — including a bouncy castle and ice cream truck for the kidlets!

Tika Catering will be serving up the food, and the Ascot Room is looking an absolute treat ready for a big day out.

The Weir Tours bus from New Plymouth is full, so we’re expecting a fantastic crowd and a brilliant atmosphere trackside!

Get your glad rags ready for the Best Dressed judges and come and enjoy Egmont Cup Day with us!
