Local trainers Fred Mitchell, Anna Clement and Paul Pascoe all have runners in on what is set to be a stunning day!

Also, the Taranaki heats of the pony scurries are on with LOTS of local kids giving the gallops a whirl!

Thrilled to have been able to play a small part in supporting the dynamic team Hawera RDA on course yesterday!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported Hāwera RDA at the races today with the Egmont Racing Club! 🐴💙

We’re so grateful for the generosity, encouragement, and community support shown throughout the day. Every bit of support helps us continue the important work we do, providing therapeutic horse riding opportunities and making a real difference in the lives of our riders.

As we count down to Cockies’ Day at tomorrow, we’re excited to see plenty of local training talent represented across the card!

Race 2 sees local trainer Paul Pascoe line up Local Lass, before returning in Race 4 with Evans Gift and Wuruhi in the last as he looks to make his mark on the home track.

Anna Clement will also be flying the local flag with Aliyana in Race 5, while Alpine Ace steps out in Race 6.

Race 7 features maiden Brunnerton Ben for Paul Moseley, while training duo Trudy and Vaughn Keegan saddle up Horonuku in Race 9 to round out the day.

There’s nothing quite like cheering on our local stables at home — we can’t wait to see these combinations hit the track this Sunday at Cockies’ Day
