Rezpect Dance Academy Rezpect Dance Academy was founded in December 2010 to inspire & encourage people through hip hop dan We are always looking for more performance opportunities.

The desire of the Academy is to bring hope & to place high expectations for the future into those it mentors. Expanding the borders of dance and free expression; having fun while working hard & building good character. We strive to make our performances entertaining, fun and at a high standard of excellence. We are fully equipped & willing to train groups, run workshops and teach the foundations o

f hip hop and choreography to those interested in having us tutor. The Academy performs at a wide variety of events including community based events, full scale concerts & small private functions; anywhere where we are able to share our love for dance with others. The level at which our dance teams are taught, teaches & performs at is one that seeks excellence that can only be accomplished through commitment, passion, determination & hard work.

In the April school holidays we took Rezpect Kidz, Rezpect YG, Rezpect INC and Swaggiez up to Auckland to compete at the Hip Hop International New Zealand National Championships and the World Supremacy Battlegrounds New Zealand Championships.

At HHINZ, Rezpect Kidz placed 2nd, qualifying to represent Aotearoa at the Hip Hop International World Championships in Phoenix, Arizona this July.

At WSB NZ, all four teams placed and qualified to represent New Zealand at the World Supremacy Battlegrounds World Championships in Hong Kong, April 2027.

WSB NZ Results:
Rezpect Kidz — 1st Place, Junior Division 🥇
Rezpect YG — 1st Place, Young Gunz Division 🥇
Rezpect INC — 2nd Place, Varsity Division 🥈
Swaggiez — 1st Place, Open Division 🥇

Blitz & Rebelz'  first comp of 2026 was at the Napier Dance Competition on Easter Friday.

For some of these dancers it was their first time ever on a competition stage and their first time in a crew!

It’s early in the season and we know we’ve still got work to do, but we're proud of them and their journey this far. We’ll  keep grinding, cleaning, sharpening, and growing.

We’re excited to kick off 2026 and can’t wait to get back into the studio with everyone! Our term 1 dance classes start on Monday 9th February and enrolments are now open!

Important: All dancers who were enrolled in our 2025 classes must re-enrol for the 2026 term to secure their spot.
