And that's a wrap on Chicago! ❤️

What an incredible two weeks.

To every person who bought a ticket, filled a seat, shared a post, told a friend, dressed up, had a drink with us and cheered our cast on - thank you.

The support our community has shown this production has been absolutely incredible, and we couldn't be more grateful.

A production on this scale also simply wouldn't be possible without the generous support of organisations who recognise the value of community theatre. A very special thank you to Mainland Foundation and the Hanmer Springs Community Board for their support.

To our sponsors, local businesses, volunteers, cast, band, crew and everyone who contributed in ways big and small - thank you for getting behind Amuri Players and helping make Chicago happen.

And finally, to our audiences - thank you for coming along for the ride. Seeing the hall so full night after night was the best possible reward for all the work that went into this show. ❤️

From all of us at Amuri Players - thank you, Hanmer Springs.

That's all that jazz! 🎶✨

We’re baaaacccckkk! 🔥

After an incredible first weekend, Chicago is back on stage TOMORROW NIGHT!

And while our cast might be the ones in the spotlight, we couldn't put on a show like this without the support of some pretty fabulous local businesses. ❤️

A huge thank you to Monteith's Hanmer Brewery Bar, Springs Holiday Houses, Vibrant Living Retreat & Day Spa, Four Square Hanmer Springs and Bayleys for getting behind Amuri Players and supporting Chicago.

There’s a whole other cast you don’t see on stage... ❤️

While our performers are taking their bows, behind the scenes is an incredibly talented and committed team who have poured countless hours into bringing Chicago to life.

Production Manager Andrew Edgar has been at the centre of it all - coordinating an enormous team, securing sponsorship, maintaining timelines and somehow keeping all the moving parts going in the same direction!

Marty Grounds has brought an immense amount of creativity and enthusiasm to the visual world of Chicago - designing, building and painting our incredible set, creating the foyer bar, and taking care of the show's graphic design and printing through his business, The Sign Station Hanmer. And when that wasn't enough, he's also taken on the role of Stage Manager!

Lighting Director Andrew Good has worked his wizardry designing and plotting the lighting that transforms our stage, and operates the show each night with support from Rhys Wilson.

Our fabulous wardrobe has been headed by Shelley Waterman-Thomas, with Liz Edgar, Sheredyn Berg and Miggs McTaylor putting in a huge amount of work to get our cast looking every bit the part.

Jane Peoples heads our makeup team, helping make sure everyone shines under those stage lights.

Behind every prop that appears exactly where it needs to be are Rhys Wilson, Norm Willerton and Jonathan Gardiner, while our sound is in the expert hands of SR Sound operators Shane and Anita.

And even this doesn't capture everyone.

There have been so many more hands helping behind the scenes - building, shifting, organising, promoting, supporting and doing all those little jobs that an audience may never notice, but without which a show simply couldn't happen.

To every single person who has given their time, skills, creativity and energy to bring this production to our community - thank you. ❤️

Chicago really is a team effort, and we're incredibly proud of this one.
