I have put some beautiful wedding photos onto canvas last week. They make fabulous and lasting gifts. But I want to show a couple of other ideas. My eldest grandson painted a picture of his friend's truck and then gave it to him. So, I put a copy onto canvas for him. The second picture is one his young sister painted at preschool. I just love the vibrancy of the colours and couldn't resist putting it on canvas as well. This is a great way to keep a quality record of those precious memories. This is always a cracker Southland day out!

On Sunday, head over to the Cromwell at the racecourse from 10am - 3.30pm👏🏼

These are both brilliant excuses to gather your mates and tick some Christmas gifts off your list. 🎅🏼

There, I've done it! I've opened up SouthPrints for the first time in ages. I'll never be as adept as Debra, in Tannacrieff Wines and now our granddaughter has her own web page - Jorja-Kate.com !! I'm so not comfortable with technology but I LOVE putting images onto canvases for people. The images you see on this site, however, never show the real picture, the depth and quality of the print. The canvas makes the image come alive with an almost 3D effect. There's still time if you would like a special photo/image as a Christmas present to yourself or someone else put onto canvas (the real stuff, not the usual cheap parchment). Just email it to me [email protected] Old sepia photos look absolutely amazing on the canvas.

A welcome testimonial for my work!

SouthPrints has been very quiet. We are subdividing and have sold our house section to a very special young lady. We are currently living in a caravan next door to the house and developing the section while waiting for our new Genius home to arrive on the back of a truck!
For the first time in over 20 years we will not be part of the Wanaka Show and will miss seeing lots of friends.
However, on the Q11 site, not too far from where we always were (Q25) you will find Debra (DCWines on the programme) with her delicious Tannacrieff wines and port. She, along with her enthusiastic support crew, will help you select your favourite tipple.

We take our lives for granted. What courage it must have taken to board a ship to Dunedin, then take a horse, coach or walk to the Central goldfields. This photo was taken in 1864 at Dead Horse Pinch on the Pigroot on the way to Ranfurly. Hot, tired horses died of colic drinking cold water. Road conditions weren't great either. This print on canvas is available framed, as shown, or as just the canvas
