Hello everyone! Hamilton Immortals is hosting a school holiday session tomorrow, Wednesday 15th July. We'll be opening the club up early, starting 2pm, so that our younger members can come in and paint, play and just hang out. We'll have a painting/assembly table, the restaurant will be open, and we'll also have some members there to teach the new Warhammer 40k 11th edition to anyone who's interested.

All are welcome to join us regardless of age, this isn't just for the kids. If you're interested in checking out or joining the wargaming hobby, or know someone who might be, we invite you to stop by to see what's going on, have a chat with our friendly community members, and try it out yourself!

Hello everyone!

Bit of a delay since the event, having had to get photos together, but we're here to absolutely toot our own horn over how cool the Painting Competition was, which we hosted back on the 6th of June at the GVC. This was in cooperation with the Waikato Scale Model Club, who ran their own modelling comp alongside, so please go check them out, too!

We had 78 entries this year, significantly more than last year, so a MASSIVE thanks to everyone who showed up with their creations, with more displays, more activities, just... MORE; the stores that supported us with prize support and trophies: Game Centre, Parker Hobbies, Gaming DNA. Jacob wanted it to be bigger and better and it was.

NOTICE OF THE 2026 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF the Hamilton (NZ) Immortals Miniature Wargames Club

To be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday 22nd of July 2026 at the Glenview Club, Hamilton

As per the constitution any Members wishing to propose a motion to amend or replace constitutional rules must submit in writing, signed by at least 3 eligible Members of the society (e-signatures are fine), and accompanied by a written explanation of the reasons for the proposal, to the Secretary before Wednesday 1st of July 2025, at which point the motion is to be considered.

Proposed constitutional amendments to be considered will be distributed by the Secretary to all Members on Wednesday 8th July 2026.

Hi everyone,

The Rotary Club has a request for potential volunteers for the home Semi Final, hopefully involving the expectant Chiefs. The game will either be on the 12th (Friday) or 13th (Saturday) this month, with confirmation of day to follow shortly.

If there is anyone willing and able to contribute some of their time to this effort (working tills, chiller, etc), your getting in touch would be most appreciated! A reminder that any money earned goes straight back to our club, the Immortals, and you have a say on how it is spent :D

Painting Competition - Request for volunteers, assistance, donations :)

The chance for you to win trophies and prizes for your painting skills and hard work is nearly here; The 2026 Immortal Painting Competition is two weeks away! We’re looking for contributions and volunteers to ensure it’s a great success:

We are calling for volunteers:
- Heavy lifting needs to be done for setup (June 5th, Friday, 6pm), the event itself and for packing up afterwards (~4.30 onwards).
- If you can serve as a support for the event day itself it would be greatly appreciated. This could be taking registrations, supervising tables, or simply being a gopher for judges.

You could participate by running an activity or event:
- Tables are available for demo games, learn-to-play sessions and casual wargaming.
- A buy/sell table is available if you’d like to trade or offload some of your own collection.
- We are also looking to run a fundraising raffle, and could use a dedicated volunteer to run this throughout the day.

Finally, some donations would be appreciated: The free Speed-Painting Competition is returning again, so please consider donating your spare models, old paint brushes and paints for this purpose. We would also like some volunteers to assemble & prime donated models for this purpose. The aforementioned raffle needs some more support before we can commit to going ahead; If you would like to donate a box of models from your pile of shame, or perhaps some other unused products, this would be a great opportunity to clear your shelves, and help fundraise for the club!

If you are willing to volunteer, donate, sell models or otherwise contribute to the event please contact us as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your help in making this event successful!

Hi everyone!

Whilst we have already had 3 volunteers (the same gracious people that usually sign up) for helping out manning tills and chiller for this Friday's rugby game, we have been asked if we can supply two more. We would remind you that the money we earn goes straight back into club assets of YOUR choice, whether that be a club collection of models, books, terrain, storage, whatever you can think of. So let's get amongst, people :)

It's a pretty good night for a Wednesday, a pretty good night for a game...

And that's all I'm going to parrot off The Piano Man...

As you can see, some good games, plenty of people having fun, and a pretty good atmosphere with the new layout.

We've had a good, steady evening of wargames tonight, with a range of different systems being played, and a great deal of fun had among the players.

Sadly, I'm not currently able to make it to the club, but our Duty Manager did a fantastic job with these photos!

Our next meeting is on Sunday, from 1PM.
