Hello! Long time no see!

Though I’ve been quiet on this account lately I swear I have still been super active in the musical theatre world. So much so, it’s probably why I haven’t been popping up here.😅

I’ve been inspired by my friend Yvonne of to share some stats and memories from this year of musicals. Dive in! There’s lots to see!

I’ll be back in 2025 with more regular updates, but probably still no podcast for now, sorry OGs!

Other exciting things are brewing though 😜

Have a wonderful Christmas and see you in 2025! 🎄🥳

Currently working on senior production of The Pirate Queen and it’s looking amazing! and I are back on Hair and Makeup design. 😍

This is a great opportunity for not only the students but our theatre loving community to come and watch a production that is not easily accessible. Kinda crazy to think the the photos of our creative team will be some of the most up to date professional photos of this show.

Make sure you come and check it out! Tickets are available through iTicket and we close on Thursday night! 🏴‍☠️ 👸🏽

I need your help!

Being able to share with different groups of people all of my various skills is one of my favourite things to do.

Today I gave a friend a makeup lesson, last week I taught some school kids the basics of theatre makeup. Every week I share my knowledge of the voice with young singers out at St Peter’s.

What am I getting at you may ask?

Well I’m planning a series of videos teaching people in the theatre space how to apply their makeup as well as educating them on good products to use.

I want to know if this is something anyone here in my audience would find helpful? If so, let me know in the comments or poll.

A big Cheehoooooo!!! for 🥳

One of the best musical theatre compilation concerts that I have seen and such a beautifully, emotional experience.

I would love to tautoko the mahi of and .tofilau along with all of the cast, creatives and other whānau support. To see such a vibrant cast of Pasifika and Māori performers made my heart sing.

and I went along together and we were blown away. I loved all the musical arrangements, the choreographic fusion of traditional Pasifika dances with hip hop and kapa haka, the poignant monologues. It all blew me away.

Who knew seeing Alex performing Agony with a Pasifika flavour would be in my bucket list of performances to watch. I also love the 6 disappointing son’s rendition of the Cell Block Tango. There were so many standout performances that I can’t name them all.

My only wish would be the opportunity to experience this all over again. ❤️

It was an absolutely honour and pleasure to be asked to do the makeup design for production of “Into The Woods Jr.” last month!

I had such fun creating the designs as this is one of my favourite shows! And who would have guessed that my favourite designs would be for the characters that don’t usually exist in the show but were a delight to have added. The woodsprites really bright some extra special magic to the stage!

Thanks again to my theatre design partner in crime for her support and nomination of me for the job. Her designs are always so beautiful and thoughtful of each character.

And of course thank you to our hair and makeup artist team, we could not have done it without you!

Now we wait for the next show!

I just realised I never did an update on the Zonys!

and I were so grateful and honoured to be chosen as the winners of Best Hair and Makeup for our work in senior 2023 production of Anastasia!

Congratulations to all other winners and nominees for you hard work and dedication.

Also a big shout out to our hair and makeup team of hardworking students who did so much work to bring our visions to life! We couldn’t do it without you. ❤️🤎

I had the pleasure of watching these talented rangatahi today for their opening show of The Little Mermaid Jr. With .nz

So much joy and so much cuteness on stage!! Stand out performances from Kyra-Mae Wilson as Ariel (beautiful voice), Andie Begovich as Sebastian (big personality), Martha Newland as Scuttle (great comedic timing) and Izzy Clarke (so cute as Flounder).

I also thought Olive & Ellie McLennan and as Flotsam and Jetsam were so sassy and some great voice choices.

Well done to Director Ella Veitch (who also stepped in last minute as Ursula), Musical Director Jonathan Hawthorn (amazing work with all those young voices), Choreographer Tyler Johnston (who got those kids moving!) and Artistic Assistant Rachael Bloemendal (who we also got to hear in the intro voice over).

A great way to end the school holidays, and I just love witnessing all these young people experience the magic of live theatre both on and off the stage.

Here are the Zony Nominations for the other productions I’ve been involved in over the past awards season which goes back to 2021 thanks to covid!

I worked on Mamma Mia! as the music technician (pushing okay on the music tracks) and helping with doing Sophie’s hair. Then Blood Brothers I helped with the Hair and Makeup Team.

Congrats everyone! 🥳

I hadn't even gotten around to posting about my makeup design work on Anastasia for St Peter's School, Cambridge and have just found out last night that my design partner (Stef Hack - Hair Design) and I have been nominated for Best Hair and Makeup for the Zonys!

It's such a privilege not only to be nominated but to get to work with the amazing creative team, actors and crew, as well as partnering with Stef on the Hair & Makeup design.

Here are some of my favourite shots by Mark Hamilton.
