Our inaugural hui-ā-tau has been months and months in the making. We have an intimate team of staff, all māmā, all passionate about the re-indigenisation of mātuatanga/parenting.
It was an absolute privilege to sit amongst all of the graduates of our kaupapa. They are actively sharing tūpuna mātauranga in their communities every single day and we’re so proud to mahi at their side.
I’m grateful too all the funders who made it possible for us to spoil these kaimahi for a day. I’m still riding high on their vibes
Pio Terei and Marama Davidson of course we fabulous speakers. We were all very lucky to sit in a tāonga puoro session with Eli Maiava. We also soaked in mātauranga from researcher, Dr Joni Angeli-Gordon who spoke to ihi, wehi and wana regarding the reciprocity of exchanging mauri. The Kai was phenomenal as were the Pakihi Māori who joined us. and A beautiful few days with beautiful people
