Business can feel bloody hard.
You can be working nonstop, carrying everyone else and making a hundred decisions....yet still feel like you are going around in circles.

Sometimes you simply need the right person beside you: someone who can see the bigger picture, ask the hard questions and help you get clear about what really matters.

That is what I do.

No jargon. No cookie-cutter solutions. Just honest kōrero, practical thinking and a clear way forward.

Sometimes one conversation really can change everything.

Let’s talk. https://www.stratigi.com/lets-talk/

Do you have the right people on your waka?

The right people understand where you are heading, bring different strengths and are willing to pick up a paddle—not simply occupy a seat.

They will challenge you, support you and speak up when they see rocks ahead.

As your business evolves, the people you need may evolve too. That doesn’t make anyone wrong; sometimes the waka, the conditions or the destination have simply changed.

Choose your people carefully...and don’t be afraid to rearrange the seats.

Because even the strongest waka will struggle if half the crew is paddling backwards.

Ko wai kei runga i tō waka? Who is on your waka?

That bloody inner critic… we all have one!
Something that has really stood out to me lately ..... is how often self-doubt, or that Negative Nancy, shows up and gets in the way.
It tells us we aren’t ready, aren’t capable, don’t know enough or shouldn’t take the risk. And if we listen for too long, it starts hijacking our confidence, our decisions and all the goodness waiting for us on the other side of our comfort zone.
Your mind is one of the most powerful tools you have. When you think you can, you can. And when you think you can’t......well, you are often right then too.
One simple tool I encourage people to try is to name their inner critic. Call it Negative Nelly, Doubting Doris, Terrible Tom, Captain Catastrophe, the Troll Under the Bridge, Harry.....or simply Hua if that fits better! 😂 (just not your ex or Mother in law)
By naming it, you separate that voice from who you really are. Then practise talking back to it:
“Thanks, Doris, but I don’t need you today. I’ve got this.”
Confidence doesn’t mean the doubt disappears. It means you stop letting it make your decisions.
Back yourself. Step outside your comfort zone. Give it a go.
You may be surprised by how much good stuff starts to happen when you do.

reflect.
One thing that's become really clear to me is this...
'Stay in your Magic!'
So many people spend their lives trying to become someone else.
The truth is, the world doesn't need another copy.
It needs you.
Your perspective.
Your lived experience.
Your courage.
Your values.
Your way of making a difference.
When you are clear on your purpose, everything else starts to line up. Decisions become easier. Confidence grows. Opportunities become clearer because you are no longer chasing everything.....you are choosing what aligns.
Stay true to what matters.
Lead with courage.
Create impact.
And never underestimate the magic that only you can bring.
Stay in your Magic whanau X

The market is noisy right now.
Pressure is real.
But the businesses still moving forward are the ones getting intentional, staying clear on direction, and focusing on what they can control.

Mindset matters.
Leadership matters.
People matter.

AI might be changing the game, but there is still a human at both ends of every conversation.

Take care of your people.
Take care of yourself.
And don’t lose your compass trying to keep up with everyone else.

Growth rarely comes from comfort.

Feeling the pressure right now? You’re not imagining it.

Fuel prices, global tension, uncertainty …. it’s all having a ripple effect into business and life.

We can’t ignore it.
But we also can’t afford to get stuck in it.

One of the most powerful tools we have right now is this:
* Know what you can control
* Know what you can influence
* Let the rest go

Because when everything feels loud…
that’s when people start spinning.

And spinning doesn’t move you forward.
Clarity does.

Words like “pivot” and “stay agile” get thrown around a lot —
but this is just business.

The real work is this:
Take stock.
Create space.
Silence the noise.

Then ask yourself:

What can I control today?
Where do I have influence?
What am I giving energy to that I can’t change?
Because your power isn’t out there in the chaos ,
it’s in how you respond to it.

Less noise. More focus. More intent.
