🌟🏥 Hospital R***e Ends on a High Note! 🏥🌟

The 2023 Hospital R***e has exceeded all expectations. Together, they raised a remarkable $18,000 for True Colours, a charity supporting children with serious health conditions and their families. 🌈

Congratulations to the dedicated team of 85 staff members who stepped out of their scrubs and performed in the spotlight for a show filled with laughter and a dash of mischief, all backed by a crew of 25. 🙌

The money raised will be instrumental in funding nursing and counselling support for Waikato families dealing with serious health conditions or grieving the loss of a child.

Thank you to everyone who made this year's Hospital R***e a tremendous success.

....and finally, a big thank you to the Dream Team, our R***e Committee who took on the hefty challenge of reviving the review after a decade! The long hours, late nights, countless meetings and hundreds of emails were worth it. It was no easy task but they did it 🙌

And what's more - they'll be back for more! Thank you friends, family, colleagues and, of course, our audiences for supporting us - see you in 2 years for the next Waikato Hospital R***e 🤩

One week later, the dust has settled and we have all recovered... just about! 🥴

Were you lucky enough to catch The Te Whatu Ora Waikato Hospital R***e last week? What a roaring success! A HUGE thank you to all our performers, our volunteers and helpers, stage crew, technical team and all the people who gave up their time to bring this R***e back to life after a decade's hiatus! It was only through their time, effort and amazing energy that this show finally got on the road. And what a show it was 🤩

OPENING NIGHT - IT'S FINALLY HERE!!! 🤩

After 10 months of organising, dozens of rehearsals, endless meetings, hundreds of hours of hard work, and some blood, sweat and tears, we have made it! To see an excited audience streaming into Clarence St Theatre to watch the fruits of our hard work makes us feel a little emotional ! 🥹

On Monday, we had a PREVIEW of our Hospital R***e! 🎉

We had 4 sports star guests – Gideon Wrampling, Taha Kemara and Solomone Tukuafu from Waikato Rugby’s Bunnings NPC squad, and Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic netball player, Oceane Maih. True Colours Children's Health Trust, our chosen charity, were represented and Sue Hayward, the R***e Sponsor, was in attendance too 🍿

This was followed by a visit to 3 paediatric wards for our sports stars, hosted by CNS Ellyn Proffit, to meet some patients, which they all greatly enjoyed. The event raised the profile of True Colours, gave our performers the opportunity to sing to a live audience as well as giving a little sparkle on a dreary Monday morning! ✨Not to mention how great it was seeing our patients’ faces light up on the ward visits! 🥹
