Unfortunately we have had to make the difficult decision of cancelling our 2026 show ‘Aotearoa A New Zealand Rock Musical’ for August this year.

This was not an easy decision but due to low numbers and interest it is not possible to move forward as planned.

We would like to thank those who did audition as well as the direction team and committee behind the scenes.

Keep an eye on our socials for an upcoming announcement as well as information on our 2026 Theatre Restaurant and 2027 Main show.

We are excited to present The Mataura Licensing Trusts 2026 Season of Aotearoa, A New Zealand Rock Musical and we would love to have you on stage with us.

If you are aged 15 and up join us from 7pm at the Ace of Spades to learn more and meet the team.

Auditions are Sunday 15th of March 10am till 4pm but you will have the opportunity to audition after synopsis if needed.

Wheather you are a season regular or newbie we would love to have you join us!

Gore Musical Theatre is thrilled to announce that the Mataura Licensing Trust will be the naming rights sponsor for Aotearoa, A New Zealand Rock Musical.

And to further cement the partnership, the MLT will also be the naming rights sponsor for our annual Theatre Restaurant in November.

The MLT have a long history of supporting the arts in our district, so we feel privelaged to have their support in bringing local theatre to life.
