MŌWAI - The Weight Of Water isn’t just an art exhibition. ✨
With it comes acknowledgement - based on research - of how our community was impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle, and how we are recovering together.

Check out the MŌWAI website being built that highlights the research and our resilience through a creative lens that resonates.

You’ll also find all of our 45 Tairāwhiti creatives that participated in the MŌWAI exhibition are in the process of getting added to the website. An awesome way to keep us all connected.

Thanking Nikki O’Connor for this audio piece Weatherbeaten Waimatā that played on our opening night.

Thanking Beka Melville for the artists photos that are getting loaded to the website.

Thanking Tim Livingston for the website creation.

Thanking Dayna Raroa .raroa for making this all happen! 🙌✨
