Rutherford College was where we all met on a sunny Saturday afternoon to kickstart the of this school garden space.

With the music blaring in the background everyone settled in for a energetic afternoons work.

Many hands do make light work and the small gathering munched through a fair bit of work before bbq'd sausages, onions on bread coated with yummy tomato sauce was offered.

Added a different element to the construction of the 3 bay compost system. Why hadn't I thought of this sooner? ;)

Let's do this video within the week... and start the ball rolling thereafter focusing on community groups that do really cool things in your community so that people know what's going on and that there are some great groups out there who are set up to benefit the community.

The hardy braved the raid today. Once cleared it was a cracker and those who attended got more than their fair share.

Cold composting, bokashi, worm farming & lasagna gardening were in store... with plenty of idle banter thrown in for good measure :)

Pity about the livestream efforts on da 'patu phone' ae Therese? ;)

Labor Weekend 2017 MBGP teamed up with Waitakere Rotary and smashed out our first Urban Garden for Panuku.

The Kitchen Project was born and faciliated locally for which MBGP got the invite to attend.

Treated to some delicious eats chased down by a few bevvies over interesting conversation... yeah

Left the gummies at home but still got to ride the bike for quicker to go home in peak hour traffic :)

Oh yeah a pretty cool idea was hatched... so we'll see if this grows legs for the community.

Saturday May 5th MBGP helped out at a community event - Unity In Our Community.

We met with the CEO and he showed us their disused garden space and asked if we were keen to 'prospect' on it.
