This Monday, I’ll be bringing colour, creativity, and a little sprinkle of magic to the Wingatui Racecourse as we all come together to reflect, remember, and enjoy a beautiful day out with friends & whānau ❤️

The day begins with an ANZAC Remembrance Acknowledgement at 11:30am in the Birdcage before a 9-race card kicks off at 12:05pm, with the last race at 4:50pm

I can now officially call myself a UK Centrefold!

My brilliant and funny friend Shelley Gates from Bright N Balloons came all the way from the UK for a visit and we ended the week twisting up a storm at the Strath Taieri A&P Show.

We were obviously causing too much trouble (I think it was the bad jokes) that Constable Alan was called.

I’m pleased they left those photos out lol.

Shelly was awarded Balloon Artist of the Year award in Southampton.

This afternoon I had honour of meeting (via zoom), the gentleman that reduced me to a frazzled crying mess 20 odd years ago.

His name is Patrick Brown. He is the creator of the original ‘Illusion Eye Technique’ in the Balloon World.

My first ever Balloon Order included a Balloonicature. I wanted the eyes to be realistic. It took me 4 hours just to be able to master the first eye. At 3am I was in a crumpled heap on the living room floor.

Those eyes gave me PTSD lol. 18 years later I tried them again on Blow Up New Zealand, this time minus the meltdown lol

Ps: I asked for the screen shots to be tidied up - and was sent the 3rd picture - im sure you will all realise that it’s AI.

Had such a great day at Outram, while also celebrating Waitangi / New Zealand Day.

My new bench waiting seat worked perfectly, and not one gorgeous wee pudding got bucked off.
