It’s time for ODAPT AUDITIONS! 🤗

Otago Dance Association Performance Troupe are ODA's performing and competitive teams. These troupes participate in a wide range of things like performing at sports games at Forsyth Barr Stadium, competing at national dance competitions and dancing for some of Aotearoa’s amazing fashion designers all around the country!

If this sounds like a bit of YOU the auditions are on THIS FRIDAY 🤩🤩

Date: Friday 11th March
Time:
- Hip Hop - 5:15-7:00pm
- Jazz/Contemporary - 6.45 - 9pm
Where: The Garage Dance Studio (105 Harrow St)

You can audition for one or both troupes (just think about your commitments)!!
Trainings are temporarily on Friday evenings but will usually be on Thursday evenings when we are in orange traffic light.

Please bring your vaccine pass, mask, drink bottle and some rockin moves!
What to wear: Whatever you feel comfortable and fabulous dancing in. If you are a jazz/contemp dancer feel free to wear jazz shoes/half shoes/ toe un**es/ bare feet/ half socks etc

🔥 HOT NEWS🔥
Our ODAPT Hip Hop Crew had an early start to their Saturday morning driving down to Invercargill to compete at IMPACT Dance Experience. The Troupe took out🥉3rd place in the senior groups division, receiving an invite to nationals and dynamic duo Sydnee Vercoe & Rosie Church also collected a well deserved 🥉3rd place in their section. We could not be prouder of the mahi this team has put into their training!! Big ups to Tammy Bezuidenhoudt and Emma Wilson for whipping up a sick routine and getting the Crew out there!! 👊

A round of applause to our dancer Sophie who modelled last week for Dunedin Fashion for a Cure. The event hosted at Emerson's Brewery successful raised $64,000 towards New Zealand Breast Cancer Research. If anyone can pull off that green blouse and hot pink skirt it's Sophie!

Last Sunday our Jazz Troupe performed at an ANZ Premiership Southern Steel Netball Game. We had hoped to perform last year but unfortunately covid had other ideas last August resulting in cancellation of the season. We were stoked to be given this second opportunity to leave our moves on the court!! Our dancers rose to the occasion and learnt their routine in just 2 crazy short hours earlier in the week (WAAAH)!😱😌 LEGENDS, Kudos to the Steel for taking out the win!
