Harriet Moir - Entertainer / MC Celebrant / Comedian / Creative / Connector / Chameleon Hey you! Welcome to my page. I get such a kick out of you being here. Either way, s'ok. Least of all me.

I can’t tell you exactly what this page is about, because I don’t exactly know myself yet. But I can tell you it is about everything and nothing and it’ll be every bit honest. The ups and the downs, the nooks and crannies and everything else in between. There’ll be highlights of my performing antics (or perhaps they can be more accurately described as low lights – you decide), insights on being a

solo parent, observations on the absurdity/awesomeness of it all and just whatever else I feel inclined to over share about. Some of it will be important but most of it won't. Some of it will make you laugh, cringe and choke on your cornflakes and some of it will possibly even see you reaching for the tissues. There will be stuff you will relate to and stuff you won't. We can still be friends. Obviously, the haters gonna hate BUT before you post something icky maybe just consider stepping away. No one is forcing you to like my page, read my stuff or agree with what I have to say. (Ok mum?). Most importantly, please know that by expressing an opinion or sharing something about my life, I am in no way passing judgement on yours. You please yourself. So move over Kim K, there's a new girl in town. Raw, racey, ridiculous and always real.

Join me tonight at 9pm on OAR FM Dunedin 📻 for Season Two, Episode 6 of Tell Me Moir.

Season Two has been a deep dive into the need to knows around divorce, separation, family law, custody, relationship property and family harm.

Episode 6 explores with happens after abuse is recognised, where can you go for help and what happens when the systems put in place to keep us safe, end up letting us down?

With my guest Simone Claire from Ōtepoti-Dunedin Whanau Refuge, we discuss in a fair bit of detail the services that are available to support women prior to, during and after leaving abusive relationships.

My other guest is a very brave and strong abuse and harassment survivor who shares her story about surviving ongoing stalking, harrassment and abuse from en ex partner. She is also a huge advocate for change, educating other women and improving the system to protect women, keep them safe and not have them financially burdened to do so.

Forever grateful to Rochelle Crossman Family Law Barrister for sponsoring Season Two and being so willing to help get this information out there to those who need it 🙏

This show was broadcast on OAR 105.4FM Dunedin - oar.org.nz and made thanks to the support of NZ on Air.

After a sold out debut season at Dunedin Fringe this year, award-winning comedian and 2027 Billy T shortlister Harriet Moir - Celebrant/Comedian/MC is bringing back her new hour of comedy about the sometimes ridiculous and often disastrous lengths she has gone to to find love: stalking, manifesting, dating, one night stands, the apps, phone numbers in cello cases and more.

Woven through personal stories, hilarious anecdotes and punchline after punchline, Dear Stalker is about looking for love in all the wrong places and finally coming home to herself.

Desparate or determined? How far would you go to find love?

Quarantine Island Kamau Taurua Community

ONLY DAY SPACES AVAILABLE - SAT OCT 16

Now look, if an incredible day of relaxation, come as you are, no judgement, connection and women centred and empowering activities and workshops isn’t enough to convince you to join me on the next W.E.E. Treat, then maybe the food will!

In my humble opinion, nourishing and delicious food is absolutely essential for a good time so this is one of the foundations of the weekend. The food is abundant and absolutely divine thanks to Jackson and There’s also a team of three amazing women who are there to meet your every need in terms of food, comfort and kindness 🙏

Dietary requirements are fully catered for, just let us know in the registration form and there’s some booze provided and plenty of non alcoholic options too. Whatever floats your boat.

A whole day of no cooking, no dishes and not even having to think about what the next meal is? Sounds like bloody bliss to me and worth the price of the day trip alone!

Tune in for Season 2, Episode 5 of Tell Me Moir tonight on OAR FM Dunedin 📻 at 9pm or wherever you get your podcasts.

Episode 2 warrants a trigger warning as we explore what family harm can look like, where to go for help and the some of tools in place that are designed to protect victims both in court and in their daily lives.

Together with Amanda Durham from the NZ Police Family Harm team in Dunedin and Bridget Byers, Family Law specialist, we focus on defining family harm and everything that comes under the term and some of the measures and practical steps people can take once they recognise they are experiencing abuse.

The episode is a need to know about family harm, coercive control, police response, protection orders, special measures in court and the new stalking law.

So grateful to my very special guests Amanda Durham and Bridget Byers and to Rochelle Crossman Family Law Barrister for sponsoring this really important and educational seaaon.

This show was broadcast on OAR 105.4FM Dunedin - oar.org.nz and made thanks to the support of NZ on Air.

And actually bloody well done to EVERYONE who entered. It takes balls to put yourself forward for s**t like this. Competitions are both joyful and horrific and everything and nothing. So for those who didn’t make the showcase, bravo to you too.

I think that statement confirms my status as the only parent in the showcase and the oldest by about 20 years 😅

If there was ever any doubt about how much I love my children, let this be the sign.

Round 2 of cheese rolls for Margot’s rowing squad is underway and honestly, I could not be more delighted.

Apparently, they had so many people saying they were the best cheeserolls they’d ever had or something. Must’ve been all the love and literally no sarcasm, ennui and disdain that went into making them.

Don’t worry, I did everything I could to convince them it was a terrible idea. I mean, just because someone says you’re the best at jumping off a cliff, would you do it again?

But here we are.

Orders and payment required by 11/09 so they can order a f**k tonne of chooooooooiiiiiiiiiiiise 🧀🧀🧀 in time for us to don our sexy hairnets and bust the little bastards out on 19/09. Because I literally have nothing else going on in my life and Saturdays aren’t precious to me at all.

💵 3 dozen for $28

💵 5 dozen for $45

🚗 Pick up from OGHS or my place but must be on Sept 19 because my freezer is full of placentas.

Pop your order through the Google Form in comments or send me a DM.

Thanks in advance for the overwhelming additional admin and lingering smell of onion in my car for days.

Oh and for supporting the squad! 🙏🚣‍♂️

The search for Otago’s next comedy star begins with local legend Harriet Moir hosting Heat #1!

Dunedin is so incredibly lucky to have a comedian like Harriet. Her recent solo shows, (Deer Stalker and Eat the Damn Sausage) have played to sold-out audiences across the motu, winning awards like Best Comedy at the 2025 Dunedin Fringe Festival.

And when she’s not winning awards, she's performing at the NZ International Comedy Festival or touring with Ben Hurley, and yet still somehow finds the time to support our local comedy scene with gigs like these for up-and-coming talent.

This Thursday, September 3rd. Pls two more heats (4th and 5th) with completely different line-ups, so worth buying tickets to all three
