Meet the director and brains behind the operation:

✨ Olivia Temm ✨

Liv (she/her) grew up in Rotorua and spent a lot of her time on the stage, acting in school shows and musicals and being heavily involved in Speech and Drama.
In 2019, Liv moved to London but her stay was cut short due to Covid-19 and in 2021 she moved to Dunedin and then began her studies at the University of Otago in 2023 with the intention of returning to the stage. The first paper she took was the Theatre Tech paper, this was where Liv fell in love with behind-the-scenes work.
In July 2023, Liv was the Stage Manager for the New Zealand International Science Festival show Matariki Ki Tua o Kā Whetū. This was when she met the founders of AXIOM, Ash Dawes and Sahara Pohatu-Trow and she has worked on a number of productions with them since, including their 2024 Fringe Show, The Politician’s Wife, as Production Manager.
Liv is so excited to be making her directorial debut with AXIOM’s second production Fred is Cold.

AXIOM Theatre Collective and Cue-Go Productions are excited to announce that a portion of the profits from FRED IS COLD will be donated to Mirror Services, a local youth counselling service.

"Mirror Services provides a range of support to children, young people and their whanau including counselling and day programmes. Mirror Counselling is a Child and Youth Counselling Service providing mental health counselling services for children and young people aged 5 – 19 years and their whānau. Mirror Services Primary Level Mental Health Service provides a case management approach to children and young people who are in the care of Oranga Tamariki and the Day Programme is for young people between the ages of 13 - 18 years whose substance use is causing difficulties in their lives."

Please support this wonderful service and the work that they do by coming to Fred is Cold.

✨MEET THE FRED IS COLD CAST✨

Last but certainly not least... Zach Hall as FRED (THE FRIDGE)

Zach (he/him) is an exciting young Kiwi actor, whose early career has explored live shows and short films. Known for his work last year in the Fire Station Theater’s ‘Secondary Cause of Death’ by Zac Henry, Izac Decastro’s award winning short film ‘What’s Ahead of Us’ and most recently, Bernard Madill’s film festival nominated ‘Long Play’.
“It is my intention to entertain the audience as we collectively suspend our disbelief to become one as a body of emotion and laughter.”
Zach is excited to play such a unique character like Fred and hopes to show that fridges have feelings too. Zach is striving for a long and extensive acting career and is very excited to see what his future holds.
