Update on Camp Burglary December 2026.

You Solved the crime in minutes, Unbelievable...

What a Journey its been....

Two-Alleged Theves were apprehended, arrested and charged within 24 hours.
One was locked up immediately, as he was out on bail for the exact same offences
The other will face the judge shortly.

The Southern District Police have been incredible with special mention to the members of the Winton Branch.
Both Criminals were arrested in record time, with an incredible amount of amount of exemplary detective work, leading to the arrests.
All members of the Police team showed an Incredible work ethic and commitment to their job.
Restorative Justice people were also absolutely fantastic.
A very big thank you to all Involved,

Unfortunately, none of the stolen goods have been found or returned.

Lessons learnt from the Burglary,

M**h amphetamine use and associated crime is unfortunately well established in our communities. We had no idea....

2 #
Keyed and Passcode safes are only secure if fully hidden, particularly in rural Areas.
Behind Hidden partitions etc. so no one knows they are there.
Once a safe is spotted, it will be compromised one way or the other. those with a criminal intent will search your entire property to find the keys, including, but not limited to...the back of your sock draw. under a container, under a rock, corners of your garden shed etc. etc. etc.

If they don't find a key, they will simply cut out their way in with a battery powered grinder.

The remoteness of rural locations gives them the time and space to complete their evil deeds

Cameras are a must for any rural property.
Our cameras have been updated, fully operating, and live.

We are not releasing the names of the individuals at this stage,
We want them both to make better decisions in the future.

BAIL DENIED!!

Thank you to everybody that responded with information about the robbery We had the guys name 4 hours after he was spotted at the Camp
The Police have responded amazingly and tonight he is behind bars. He left a lawn mower at the camp stolen from somewhere else. Please if anyone of you know of anybody who lost a lawnmower get in touch.
This guy has a bail hearing tomorrow. This is his third arrest this year after spending 18 months in jail for the same, stealing. He will not stop.

!Update!

Please read our post below about a man that was caught breaking in to Camp taringatura today and fled.

Black Mazda Hatch back seen at Dipton 02.12.2025 at 5.50pm down Level Sreet parked in L-shape with silver Sedan, Tattooed man seen matching description and another man at vehicles.
Black Car a Mazda Hatchback
- not Toyota or Nissan.

We have also been given the name of a man who matches description and has not long gotten out of jail.
He is from Gore.

All details have been given to police.
