Just a gentle reminder that this Friday at Dargaville's Central Hotel there's going to be a very special performance. After all the stress and aggravation of the past few months, it's a chance to get together, let your hair down and soak up the music of
ROAD DOG. Led by well-known and respected local musician Pete O'Neill, who will be putting his great new band through its paces at an unmissable debut Dargaville show, ROAD DOG also features two other musos with incredible pedigrees: Dave Morello (drums), a Grammy-nominated songwriter who has contributed his top-flight drum skills to many of NZ's top artists, and Aaron Coddell (bass) who has also worked with many prestigious musicians (including international jazz greats and locals like Hello Sailor, Annie Crummer and King Kapisi… and even occasionally moonlights with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra!)
It’s a mark of the respect that the band has for Pete’s stunning original material that they’ve come together as ROAD DOG.
PLUS!!! Very special guest, former Fischer-Z singer Jennie Cruse. Jennie will put on a sparkly dress and warm us up with some classic old tunes.

This is a group of musicians, artists, venue owners and managers who are working to build capacity in the local hospitality industry to stage and support cultural events in Dargaville.

Road Dog is led by well-known and respected local musician Pete O'Neill, who will be putting his great new band through its paces at an unmissable debut Dargaville show. A reminder: Ladles & Jellyspoons, don't forget, tonight, direct from Baylys Beach, the implausibly talented, impossibly handsome SEAN McDONNELL and THOSE OTHER GUYS will be bringing joy and laughter (and some great music) to the Central Hotel, so join the friendly faces and soak up some fine music from 8.30pm. The cover charge is a paltry $10. Let's face it, it's been a sh*t year, but we can soothe our sorrows and kick our worries away at this special show by those groovy guys. See you there!

The King of the Kaipara crooners, SEAN McDONNELL, is launching his new concept EP at Music Central on Friday 5th of Nov. Backed by Those Other Guys, this is going to be a fun night of new songs, old classics and so much more. Let's face it, it's been a sh*t year, but we can soothe our sorrows and kick our worries away at this special show by those groovy guys from Baylys Beach. The show starts at 8.30pm and the cover charge is a mere $10. Spread the word!

Sadly, this Friday's ROAD DOG event at the Central Hotel has had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 Level 4 lockdown. We were all primed and amped up for a great gig, but the safety of the community comes first. Keep checking the Music Central page for news about a new date for this exciting performance.

Hot local band ROAD DOG announces their debut public performance at Music Central on Friday 20th August at 8pm.
Helmed by respected local singer-songwriter-guitarist Pete O’Neill and featuring the musical expertise of two of the best session guys in the country – Aaron Coddell (bass) and Dave Morello (drums) - ROAD DOG is a new group that’s guaranteed to rev on all cylinders for a great night out. A real bonus is support act Vanessa Henderson, a local singer and songwriter with talent bursting out of every pore.
And breaking with tradition, ROAD DOG will perform in the main bar of the Central Hotel so that there’s room for the musicians to move and for the crowd to get on down. Tickets are $20 at the door, and a great night out is guaranteed.
