New to Darfield? You may have heard people talking about Darfield Artweek and wondered what it’s all about.

Darfield Artweek is a celebration of the creativity, talent and community spirit of our local area. Held each October, it brings together artists from across Selwyn and Canterbury for a week of exhibitions, events and opportunities to discover the incredible range of creative work happening right here in our community.

Join us for a very special afternoon with acclaimed New Zealand classical-crossover singer Rebecca Nelson.

From busking on the streets of Ireland to performing at Gallipoli, the Somme and Passchendaele, singing for royalty and in front of thousands at Twickenham, Rebecca’s remarkable musical journey has taken her to some of the world’s most memorable stages. She is also the official singer for the Royal New Zealand Navy Band, where she holds the rank of Lieutenant.

Now, Rebecca brings her beautiful voice and captivating stories to Darfield for an intimate afternoon of music, memories and a remarkable life lived through song.

Come along, settle in and enjoy an afternoon with one of New Zealand’s most distinctive and accomplished voices.
