🎬 Movie Review – Disclosure Day
Reviewed by Clare Green
I had the opportunity to attend Thursday’s premiere of Disclosure Day, and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
This is definitely not a slow-moving film – the storyline evolves quickly and keeps you engaged from start to finish.
What makes Disclosure Day particularly intriguing is that it constantly plays with your mind. Just when you think you have worked out who the good guys and bad guys are, the story takes another turn and leaves you questioning everything. Steven Spielberg once again proves why he is regarded as one of cinema’s greatest storytellers, crafting a film that keeps audiences guessing and piecing together clues throughout the journey.
Featuring a strong cast including Emily Blunt, Colin Firth and “in everything at the moment” Josh O’Connor, the performances help draw you deeper into the mystery. While the film has a lengthy runtime, it never feels predictable. In fact, it became something completely different from what I thought it would be.
Spielberg has explored extraterrestrial life many times before, from E.T. to Close Encounters, but Disclosure Day asks a new and fascinating question: How would the world react if we discovered another life form unlike our own?
Throughout the movie I found myself trying to work out where the story was heading next, second-guessing the characters and discussing theories afterwards.
If you’re a fan of science fiction, mystery, suspense, or simply enjoy movies that make you think, this is one worth experiencing on the big screen.
The scale of the story, the visuals and the action sequences, deserve to be seen in a cinema environment.
This isn’t a movie for those wanting to switch your brain off and simply watch events unfold. It’s a film that demands your attention, keeps you guessing, and rewards audiences who enjoy being drawn into the mystery. Whether you’re a longtime Spielberg fan or just looking for something different from the usual blockbuster, Disclosure Day offers plenty to talk about.
By the end, one question remains:
Are we truly alone in the universe? 👽✨
