Dannevirke Theatre Company are excited to host Dave Flynn - Celtic Guitarist and Composer in just a couple of weeks on his annual New Zealand tour. This is sure to be an amazing two part event well worth attending!

6th June : Dave will be holding a free Celtic music workshop with the trio Flynn's Celtic Strings where you can learn more about Celtic music, whilst also learning to sing along to some of the songs the trio will perform in their free concert held the next day, 7th June at Fountain Theatre, Dannevirke.

All welcome, bring along your instrument if you have one!

Created in 2026 for Dave Flynn’s annual New Zealand tours, Flynn is joined by Wellington-based Em Griffiths and Kawerau-based Lee Corbett Barton in this new virtuoso trio specialising in Celtic music, ancient and contemporary. Since forming, the trio have toured around New Zealand to great acclaim, including a sold out performance at The Shambles Theatre, Rotorua, supported by Rotorua District Council’s Creative Communities Scheme.

Step into the storm shrouded Starkweather Mansion for Murder’s in the Heir, a fast-paced, audience interactive murder mystery comedy where greed, secrets, and outrageous personalities collide. When a wealthy, tyrannical billionaire gathers his eccentric family and staff to reveal shocking changes to his will - only to end up mysteriously murdered - everyone becomes a suspect. Packed with larger-than-life characters, sharp humour, and multiple possible endings decided by the audience, this clever whodunit invites you to help solve the crime… but beware - anyone could be the killer!
