To All Existing and New Students
Welcome to the term 1 2026 piano lessons.
I will be back teaching from Monday, 2nd February 2026, at my home piano studio. Your existing piano lesson day and time will remain the same, unless i hear from you.
For those piano students at Ruahine School, I will be
commencing piano lessons the second week of the term, on Wednesday, 11th February
2026.
Piano fees will increase $2.00 per lesson this year.
I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful holiday break, even though the weather isn't great!
I will see you all very soon, for another year of great music!

To All Piano Students,
I do hope to see you all at the Cushion Concert this Sunday, 23 November 2025, at
1.30 pm. Please remember to bring a cushion, and your music books. The 2 pieces you will play, are your choice, but whatever you decide to play, MUST BE WELL PRACTICED for the day! I will hear these pieces at lesson time.
For those students who sat practical piano exams this year, please bring your certificate with you to the concert, and I will take the photos for the local newspaper. It saves you having to come another day!
See you this Sunday.

To all Piano Students

I have given the invitations out this week, for a Cushion Concert, to be held on the Sunday afternoon, 21 September 2025, in my lounge.
I do hope most of you will be able to make it. This is the Sunday, after the last day of term 3 at school.
Please make sure the 2 pieces you choose to play, are WELL PRACTICED. I will hear them at lesson time of course. Exam students will choose 2 of their exam pieces to play.
PLEASE RSVP me nearer the time.

To All Exam Students,
With only 12 days to go, to the exam date on Friday, the 12th September 2025, starting late afternoon, you ALLhave plenty of work to do.
Please remember, the pieces need to be performed at the highest standard you can manage, to get the very best marks, which means finding time to do that extra
daily practice now.
Also remember, scales must be performed from memory. No more scale sheets at lesson time!
You all have your exam books. You are not permitted to use photo copies on the day of your exam. Start playing from your actual exam book NOW, and LIGHTLY PENCIL in markings you may need. Fi*****ng, dynamic marks and pedalling, are allowed to stay marked in pencil, in your exam book.
Please bring your EXAM BOOK to your next piano lesson. If you have had a mock exam, bring that sheet to your piano lesson as well.
NOT LONG NOW, TO THAT VERY SPECIAL DAY!!!!!!!

To All Piano Exam Students.

The ANZCA practical piano exams, will be held on the 12th September 2025, Friday afternoon, in my music room in town.
Details are on the news board in the music room waiting area, regarding times for each student etc. If you require further information, please contact me. Ph: 027 881 0445.
I will advise all students of their individual times, before exam day. Some of those sitting their exams, have a lot of work to do, before the big day! Please practice all your exam work daily, and do read your note books! Short, frequent practices are best.
With only 6 weeks to exam day, 6 lessons, there is limited time to prepare your pieces etc. Please put as much effort as you can, into your performance, and give of your very best!

To All Exam students, that sat their ANZCA piano exam in 2024.
I will be having the photo for the local newspaper, this coming Monday, 17 March 3025, at 4.45 pm at my home studio.
Please be on time, as some students have other after school activities, after the photo.
The Bush Telegraph finished at the end of last year, but fortunately has made a come back. This is why the photo and exam results are late.
I do hope, you can all make it on the Monday!

I hope you have enjoyed your long holiday, despite some cooler weather!
Welcome back to another year, of learning the piano. An exciting year for existing and new students. If you wish to change your day/time for your lesson, please let me know asap.
I will commence piano lessons, on MONDAY 3rd February, at my home studio.
Ruahine Students: I will be at school on the 12th and 13th February 2025, for your first lesson of the year.
I still have the FREE piano available, if anyone is interested.

Hi Everyone,
I have access to a FREE piano here in Dannevirke.
It has been well cared for over the 60 years, since it was
made, and is only small, with a light brown finish.
Measurements: height 106 cm,
length 137 cm and width 54 cm.
Ideal for a beginner. All the keys and the pedals work. I have viewed the piano in its existing home, but it needs to be gone before the 13th of this month.
It would need 4 strong guys to carefully remove it, before the above date. If anyone is interested, or you know of someone who is, please contact me, 027 881 0445.

I will be finishing piano teaching for the year, on 13 December 2024, Friday.
Thank you to all the students who attended the piano concerts this year, and the parents/caregivers, for their wonderful support.
Congratulations to all who sat and passed their ANZCA practical exams. A challenge well achieved.
Hopefully, all of you have enjoyed your year, learning new musical concepts, and playing some very enjoyable pieces along the way.
I will contact all of you when I start teaching in 2025, as many of the schools go back on different days.
Have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends, and
enjoy the long holiday break.
If I don't hear from you, I will expect to see you in 2025.

To All Exam Practical Students

MOCK EXAMS will take place from 2 - 6 September 2024, during your lesson time. Please make sure, that scales are memorised, and all necessary markings are in your exam books, which you should be playing from now.
EXAM DAY will be the 20th September 2024, Friday morning. VERY EXCITING for you all!
I will send out a newsletter, closer to the time, with your allotted exam times. These times cannot be changed.
Some of you still have some serious work to do, so PLEASE keeping working hard. Only 4 weeks till exam day.

Welcome to term 2, 2024 existing and new students.

The new term starts tomorrow Monday, here at my home studio, and later in the week, at Ruahine School.
