Brock Feeney was flying yesterday around Ruapuna and today he nailed it flying the Jetex Boeing 737 simulator - landing nicely into Gold Coast!

Chris Lynch recently tracked down Mike Pero, in a café, to find out more about the various business interests Mike has – in particular Jetex Flight Simulator. The conversation also morphed through the past 40-50 years and Mike’s interests elsewhere – including motorsport, The Britten Museum, as well as business in general. We’ve posted this interview as we thought it may give some of our readers some background on how the simulator evolved.

✈️ Meet Captain Dave Griffin ✈️
Simulator Instructor Boeing 737-800

Dave’s love of flying started young with the Air Training Corps and model aircraft. By the time he was in his 20s, Dave held a commercial licence and instructor rating, and there was no turning back.

In 1988, Dave joined Air New Zealand with around 2,500 hours of flying time. Since then, he’s flown the Fokker F27 and Boeing 737s through to the 767, A320, 787, and retired on the Boeing 777. Along the way, he’s also trained pilots, as an instructor, on the 737 and A320. 

That same passion is what Dave brings to Jetex Flight Simulator – sharing his experience and love of aviation with everyone who steps into the simulator.

Dave joins seven others who are all ex Air NZ or Virgin Australia.

Our simulator is as good as they get , just short of the full motion simulators that are not available to the general public, and operated by airlines for their own use.
