We would like to extend a huge thankyou to all of the team at Pegasus Bay Drag Racing Club for supporting our journey through this season in the IHRA Journey. Your support and encouragement have been unwavering, and we are forever greatful for all of the little things you do on race days to make this country kid, fit right in on the drag strip!

This has been one epic season, travelling the country side, meeting some amazing people along the way and sharing the journey with our race family Wilton-foley Racing!

The dates are locked in, and we can’t wait to get back to doing what we love!

This season we have four race days… but that’s just going to make them even bigger!

We’re making every single event count. Bigger crowds, bigger racing, bigger atmosphere, and bigger memories. If we’ve only got four chances to do it, we’re going to make every one unforgettable! 🔥🏁

And the best part? They’re pretty much all in summer! ☀️😎 So dust off the race cars, grab your mates, pack the sunscreen, and get ready for an epic season at Ruapuna.

🏁 Oi South Island… this one’s for us! 🏁

Right… for the first time EVER, the IHRA AGM & Prizegiving is actually coming to the South Island! 🤯

So we’ve officially run out of excuses… no more “it’s too far” (unless you’re in Invercargill… we’ll let you have that one 😜).

You don’t have to be collecting a trophy to come along. Come for the catch-up, the stories that somehow get better every year, and the chance to remind everyone why South Island racers are the best. 😉

If we want to keep the AGM and Prizegiving alternating between the North and South Islands, we need to show up. Otherwise the North Islanders will think we all hibernate for winter… and we really can’t let them have that win. 😂

Now that we’re officially in the off-season and everyone’s pretending they’re going to spend the winter “just doing a few small jobs” to their race cars… 😂

Yes, yes, I know… I’m a Crusaders fan.

Which means I’m pretty comfortable with the whole winning trophies thing. 😘

But tomorrow I’ll be backing the Hurricanes. Someone’s got to stop the Chiefs.

And let’s be honest, we’ve already got 15 titles and 13 trophy’s. It’s only fair we let someone else have a turn every now and then. 🤣

Chiefs fans can argue all they want in the comments, but hearing “this is our year” from Chiefs supporters is starting to sound suspiciously like hearing a drag racer say, “the car will definitely be finished by spring.” 😂

Anyway, enough rugby banter.

URGENT PEGASUS BAY MEETING – TOMORROW NIGHT

Guys, not my normal sort of post but I really need everyone to pay attention to this.

Members please check your emails regarding the major changes Canterbury Car Club are making and how this could affect Pegasus Bay and the future of drag racing at Ruapuna.

After last night’s committee meeting, it’s clear this is something we all need to take seriously. These changes will impact track access, race dates, and how clubs operate moving forward.

We need as many members as possible at tomorrow night’s meeting. Please come along, stay informed, and support the club.

This is an important time for Pegasus Bay and we need the club standing together.
