This was the process of doing batik. It was so nice to experience the processes involved in this beautiful art form. It's lovely to experience the process so you can truly see the patience and skill involved. I appreciate the learning and will treasure what I created. It is going to be given to my moko when she is born and I hope it becomes a favorite.

.muka and I have just had 10 days in Bali, some up in Ubud, and now down in Sanur for the last little relax before we come home.

Here are a few highlights of our trip, but I'll post some videos of some of the art workshops that we did.

It's been an amazing time, but I'm ready to come home.

It was a pleasure to host in our wharepora.

He learned how to weave and the tikanga pertaining to weaving.

It was a really awesome session, hanging out and sharing together.

Such a nice guy.

I am on my way home! Can't wait. I have had a fantastic trip. I don't want to pretend that it didn't come with some hard days and some struggles but overall I have had such a fulfilling experience!

Thank you to all those that cared for me, gave me hugs! Feed me, hosted me in their homes, pointed me in the right direction, told me what I shouldn't miss out on, picked me up when I was down, took me sightseeing and to op shops, took me ocean swimming, let me harvest harakeke, took me out into nature on adventures to see wildlife, and all the other, thank you so much!

My last archives day, I went into Kew gardens and looked at the Tikumu kākahu with an added look into fibre collectionsand kete. Plus had a walk around the gardens to check out their harakeke collection.

I finished with show at the theatre "Wicked". What a great day and then saw a fox on my walk home which was cool but also sad to see it on the city.

Thankyou for the help with the connections and Happy birthday Te Hemoata.

Thank you for also sharing contacts it made it even easier to sort the trip.

Another fantastic day hanging out with Polly at the British museum. I really enjoyed looking at the kahu kurī and the half finished kaitaka as I have learnt so much! If you want to go to the British museum all you need to do is contact them and book in. They like about a months notice but the earlier the better.

I added a few pictures from tonight and this cool little hidden pub where I met up with a new friend Amanda.

Pit rivers museum was an overwhelming and incredible place. I got to meet the beautiful ladies that are looking after our taonga. Seeing half finished kākahu and hearing the stories of their known history was both sad and fascinating. I will definitely be coming back and look forward to taking more time with them to study what our Tīpuna impressively made! They have done VERY old and beautiful kākahu!
