Vanguard Films Ltd Vanguard Films has been started with the aim of creating and promoting moving pictures, in any genre, with whakamana. I love seeing Aotearoa on the screen.

As a filmmaker my goal for Vanguard Films is to tell as many Aotearoa films in as many genres as I can. I love seeing the real in all her tragic and magnificent glory. I love seeing us react to our stories speechless, stunned and shining. Vanguard Films is all about the collaboration. Its all about promoting each other and our talents. Its about raising each other up. Vanguard Films has that Village Mentality.

I've woken up to the saddest news that Michael K Williams has passed on to a new life. I'm absolutely devastated. I broke down crying. He set the bar for the new generation of actors coming on the scene in the 2000s. How he carried himself on and off the set was admirable and inspirational. His performances were so magnetic. He brought a level of gravitas and honesty few can say they possessed. We've lost a true artist who embodied hip hop and its way of life. Irreplaceable. Undefinable. I will miss him forever. Rest in Life.
