Hello! I’m still here! I’ve been hibernating away growing my bump these chilly mornings. But I’ve managed to squeeze some work in before bub arrives (everything takes so much EFFORT 🫠)

Here we have a loveable doggo named Gemma, captured in her prime which serves as a reminder of treasured memories and good times.

• The Long Awaited Hello! •

I’ve been rather quiet lately, busy with family visiting from overseas, seeing friends, enjoying the sun and a little indulging 🍦

Some exciting things also happened the past few months, I sold one of my favourite pieces to date, The Waratah! It’s gone to a family who has been an avid supporter since arriving in NZ over five years ago. This, alongside a few more surprises 👇🏽📸

1. The Waratah in it’s new home
2. Lovely hot day at the Australian Open
3. Fun on New Brighton Beach
4. Somewhere along Arthur’s Pass after a trip to Hokitika
5. What I’d like to think of as Dad popping in to say hi
6. Capturing moments with an old face at one of Melbourne’s infamous photo booths (proper old school type, love it!)
7. The tiny feet of the new family addition!

The past few months have been a rollercoaster but 2nd trimester seems to be a lot more forgiving at this point.
With this in mind, please bear with me while I grow a human and slowly lose the ability to see my feet 😌

I am still available for commission work, prints and greetings cards.

Arts Canterbury have 27 artists exhibiting at The Te Huanui Art Gallery, Darfield. My acrylic paintings and giclee prints are available alongside 26 talented individuals. The great thing about a cash and carry is the fact you can purchase AND take home your chosen artwork ON THE SAME DAY. Christmas. Sorted.

I haven’t shared this particular piece as it holds a special place in my heart. I began painting it after I lost my Dad a couple years ago. He meant the world to me and I think of him everyday. The significance of the sunflower stems from one which used to grow outside of his kitchen window every year. This bright, bold, burst of colour would greet him whenever he went into the kitchen during summer (usually for a cuppa).

Now, whenever I see a sunflower I feel Dad’s presence. It offers me a moment to remember the good times 🌻

It was a very chilly morning (and still a chilly day!) with even some snow in parts of Christchurch. But these little bursts of blossom means that spring is in sight 🌸(soon…maybe).
