Andrew and Linda recently sent me some photos of their stunning wedding held at Terrace Downs Windwhistle.
What made this wedding so special and memorable was the journey I went on with this beautiful couple. It's such an intimate, relatively short timeline, often a few months, where trust, commitment, honesty, vulnerability and the courage to express parts of you and your life are called upon. To share these precious parts of your life with someone you've only just met takes having a safe space to be available for them - I don't mean a physical space, I mean an emotional space, created to share... and when our journey began, I felt to privileged to be in this space with these two amazing people.

Thank you Andrew & Linda - I look forward to that cup of coffee and a catchup.

✨ Daniel & Char — What a Joyful Day ✨

There is something incredibly special about officiating a wedding for someone you’ve known through different seasons of life.

I had the absolute privilege of marrying Daniel and Charlotte and it was extra meaningful because Daniel and I first worked together many years ago at Auckland Zoo.

I remember Daniel as a young 16-year-old casual — dependable, creative, reliable and genuinely kind. Even back then, you could tell he had the making of a wonderful husband. Watching him stand beside Char on their wedding day felt like witnessing a beautiful full-circle moment.

And Char… what a wonderful human. Fun, friendly, independent and incredibly smart — truly Daniel’s perfect match. Together they bring out the very best in each other, and you could feel the love, laughter and deep connection surrounding them all day.

It was an absolute joy and privilege to officiate the wedding of Jordan and Sarah 💍

What was meant to be a blustery day turned out to be absolutely perfect — filled with laughter, love, and the most beautiful relaxed energy. Jordan and Sarah were calm, ready, and completely committed to the journey ahead together.

Alongside their two gorgeous kids, you could truly feel how connected this family is. Jordan brought the wit and humour, while Sarah had everyone laughing through her vows with perfectly timed one-liners that made the ceremony unforgettable.

Some weddings just stay with you… and this is one I won’t forget.

Thank you, Sarah and Jordan, for trusting me to be part of such a special moment. Wishing you the most incredible married life together ❤️

Good afternoon Canterbury - Well, I can say, wedding season 26 - 27 is already underway with enquiries and bookings coming in.
Being prepared and planning well is the key to a wonderful, relaxed wedding day. Make a list, tick the boxes and stay on track with timelines.
That's where I come in, my job is to guide you, encourage you and support you through everything related to your Ceremony - the heart of the day.
I'm Maggie and love what I do - we will have fun, and on the day, well, it's all about you two. All the hard work is done, and you both get to bask in the glory of saying 'I Do'

“When two people stand surrounded by family and say ‘I choose you’ — that’s where the magic happens.”

Dianne and John gathered with their closest family and friends at Darjon Vineyard on a gorgeous Saturday morning to exchange vows and make their relationship official as husband and wife.

Under the gentle shade of the trees, with beautiful dappled light filtering through, the setting couldn’t have been more perfect.

Surrounded by the people who matter most, their ceremony was relaxed, heartfelt, and full of genuine moments.

There were smiles, laughter, a few emotional tears, and a wonderful sense of celebration as Dianne and John promised their lives to one another. It was personal, meaningful, and very them — a couple deeply connected and completely comfortable in the love they share.

Moments like this are why I love what I do. Being invited to stand alongside couples and help tell their story, in a place filled with warmth, family and joy, is always such an honour.

Congratulations Dianne and John. What a beautiful way to begin this next chapter together.
