Here is a lovely review from the team at Ashburton Event Centre 🤩😍

“Having just watched Glory Days, I can’t speak highly enough of the 4 cast members and director Toby Lee. This was an outstanding performance delivered by 4 talented NASDA students who have taken on the challenge of producing a show for their end of year assessment, with an all to familiar story line for the current generation. I would really encourage those in the 16+ age group to get along tomorrow night and see the show. You will love its humorous reminders of life at high school and the poignant moments as each discover how their lives have taken different paths since leaving school. I give it an A for attitude and ability, congrats to you all.”

If this isn’t reason to see the show, then I don’t know what is. Get amongst it Ashburton, last chance to see the show tonight!!

One of our patron's Moyra Whiting was lucky enough to watch a preview of Glory Day's and as you will read it is must see.

A taste of 'Glory Days' in full dress rehearsal was sufficient to confirm that I simply have to attend the actual performance on either Friday or Saturday night. With props little more than scaffolding, this show is a must see. Four young lads with more than just a hint of testosterone going on, catch up again, one year on from graduation. The lads are endeavouring to find out who they really are and what is happening with their emotions.
Will, struggles to accept that within the year he and his friends have been apart, there have been changes, but how to address this fact is somewhat of a challenge.

'Glory Days' is thought provoking, with moments of sexuality and coarse language but it certainly is real. Three actors, along with Director Toby Lee (one of our own from Ashburton), are all linked with NASDA as students. The fourth cast member is a NASDA graduate. Toby has very capably directed this 90 minute long show and can be extremely proud of his achievement. I loved the beautiful harmonies from strong voices and the confidence portrayed by these young, aspiring actors.

Come and support talent, directed and produced by someone who has a very bright future.

Whilst directing 'Glory Days', Toby has been learning lines for the next role he has been awarded...that of Danny Zuko in 'GREASE ' , set to take the stage at the Court Theatre later this year.
