DANCER INTERVIEW NUMBER 3…meet Jessica!

Name: Jessica (but you can call me Jess)

Age: 12…but I’ll be 13 SOON

Dancing since: I was just 4 year old—so, like, my whole life!

Jessica says she loves dancing because “it’s not just about the moves - it’s about the confidence! Dance makes me feel strong and happy.

Jessica’s dance goal for 2026:

“I’m all about trying new moves. Bring on the challenges!”

Jessica says her favourite thing about Strive is:

“We’re like a family here. Everyone works together, supports each other, and bonds over our love of dance. It’s the best feeling ever.

This is my 6th year. I’ve grown up here!”

PERFORMANCE TOUR 2026 👩🏽‍🐰‍👩🏼🚙

One of our performance teams’ favourite events of the year is our performance tours. An opportunity to give back to the community by sharing our love for dance, and also a really great chance for the kids to get experience performing in front of a wide range of audiences.

On this tour we performed at 4x different kindergartens and 2x different schools in Cambridge and Ōhaupō! It was a huge day for the girls but so much fun.

Thank you so much to the following schools/ECEs for welcoming us and being fabulous audiences for the girls last Friday 🩷

Cambridge Kindergarten

Thank you also to the wonderful Naomi and Meg for donating your time to drive the kids around.

Next tour will be in July where we head to a few more kindergartens and also some of the local retirement villages 🥰
