I love my knitting groups so much - I love seeing the projects being created; new yarns and patterns; helping and sharing of technics. But what I love the most are the friendships within the groups - excitement about new projects, an upcoming event, holiday, a concern or worry - it is so special to be part of this. Today was even more special with a tiny visitor. Just two days old and rescued by the Gorgeous Cherie - a tiny lamb was cuddled and cherished by my Wednesday ladies - so cute and so precious - the source of all we hold dear - New Zealand wool.

Several people have asked what I was wearing at Fibretron on Saturday- it was the Broken Rib Vest pattern (design 2306) knitted in the fabulous Aella Alpaca and Merino 8 ply in Prussian Blue. Crucci is a recent addition to the Cambridge Crafts family and has a fantastic range of New Zealand based yarns in gorgeous colours at amazing prices. The Broken Rib Vest was a wonderful knit and is super gorgeous and cuddly to wear in the Aella yarn. So many thoughts and thanks after Fibretron on Saturday. We are so lucky as a community to have Paula and Sam at Purple Sprouting prepared to put all the work in necessary to make Fibretron such a fantastic day - thank you! To all those yarn lovers that came along - thank you for all the support - it was so fabulous to see all the smiles, the planned and finished garments and most importantly the passion and joy for their craft and the day. A huge thanks to Michelle Wilson - my gorgeous friend always and right hand man for the day. I would also like to thank all our mums and grandmothers - those who took the time to sit with us all when we were learning our craft, answering so many questions, picking up stitches and fixing mistakes. The love they shared - spending time with us and teaching us has given us all the biggest gift of loving our craft so much - how lucky are we.

FIBRETRON!!! Just one more sleep!
