Iconic British rock band, Pink Floyd left an indelible mark on the world, inspiring generations with their ground-breaking soundscapes and thought-provoking lyrics. 2025 marked the diamond anniversary of Pink Floyd's inception, and to honour this milestone every era of Pink Floyd's illustrious career will be celebrated in grand style in a brand-new concert production by Australia’s own Echoes of Pink Floyd.

Pure Events Marlborough and the Marlborough District Council are excited to be bringing back Southern Jam Youth Jazz Festival! This year is a particularly special one as we are celebrating our 21st Birthday! For this special occasion we also, courtesy of SOUNZ Centre for New Zealand Music, will have 2 pieces of music commissioned for Southern Jam that will be performed by our All Stars Band at the Gala Concert.

A full on week of jazz starting on 4th August and culminating with the Finale Gala Concert on Sat 8th. Not only does this one of a kind event provide a wonderful opportunity for young musicians to compete, perform and learn from other well respected musicians, it also offers the community some great nights out around our region to experience some top quality jazz, along with a Finale Gala Concert featuring these talented youngsters. Also with thanks to our supporting sponsors KBB Music, Victoria University, Summerset Retirement Village and SOUNZ Centre for New Zealand Music.

The Finale Gala Concert held at the Whitehaven Theatre is where we will showcase all the participating schools, the winners of the competition and The All Stars Band, who will perform alongside our prestigious judges. This band is comprised of the top achieving students who rehearse together with the Judges to bring a unique experience for both the students and the audience.

Raising funds for Breast Cancer Research, Pink Rhythm & Groove is a fun concert where Marlborough Brass hosts Bras & Brass, a band of mainly female brass and percussionist from across New Zealand.
Playing familiar and entertaining music and featuring talented soloists. The theme is very ‘pink’, and lively.

You can expect to be entertained by two very talented brass bands.

We are raising awareness of breast cancer, and valuable funds for breast cancer research. Bras & Brass Band is a charity fundraising band, representing the Bras & Brass Foundation.
