We are excited to be attending the upcoming annual Pat Hanly Creativity Awards, held at Auckland Art Gallery with support by Friedlander Foundation and Sir William and Lady Lois Manchester Charitable Trust and the Open Doors for Schools Fund. In 2026, 1200+ students from 29 secondary schools across Tāmaki Makaurau gathered inspiration in the exhibitions and artist-led workshops by Reuben Paterson. During the season, it was our pleasure to introduce Reuben to the goals and ambitions for Hanly House. He was excited by the scope of a living museum supporting future artists. This exhibition explores the three-maunga island chain of the Devonport peninsula, linked by jewel-like gardens, as a reinterpretation and homage to Pat Hanly's early-1970s Inside the Garden series.
