One of my life highlights was interviewing Jools and Lynda Topp for the release of their brilliant, beautiful book in 2024.
Like many New Zealanders, I felt like I knew The Topp Twins so well, growing up watching them perform on tv and stage - I told them this when I met them and they said ‘Charlotte - You can call us Auntie’ and explained lots of kiwis feel this way about them and they were ok with it. How special that two twins could have such an impact on so many of us.
Sending loads of love and strength to Lynda, and deep love and appreciation for Jools. Rest In Peace 🤍 Thankyou so much for everything you did for NZ culture - and music ❤️

One of the ways I’ve been distracting myself from the news lately is picking up my old camera and shooting film again. It sometimes feels odd when I have such a good camera on my phone, but I love the slowness of it, not knowing what I’ve captured, waiting for the roll to come back, the weird colours & the cool memories.

These photos are a little collection of summer missions and very good people. Pre-drinks for David Byrne, trips out to Bethells, Lia’s birthday and beautiful beaches 🌺
