WORKMATES will have it's world premiere at the New Zealand International Film Festival this August!

Directed by Curtis Vowell (Baby Done, The Outlaws, Seize Them!, Fantail) and written by Sophie Henderson (Baby Done, The Justice of Bunny King, Fantail), Workmates is a funny, heartfelt love story starring Sophie Henderson (Human Traces, Fantail) and Matt Whelan (Narcos, Go Girls) as Lucy and Tom - best friends, theatre-makers, and co-workers.

'When an accident threatens to shut down the tiny, underfunded theatre they’ve built together, Lucy realises she would do anything to save the theatre and keep her friend… who she might be in love with.'

LOOKING FOR FEATURE SCRIPTS
AND LIMITED SERIES IDEAS

Looking to the future and getting some balls rolling now! I have two readers booked, ready to write some coverage so I can plot and plan some excellent projects...

Please only send me ideas that you have already written/developed - I am not looking for you to very quickly whip something brand new up. Things that have been in development; anything that has a solid draft in existence. At this stage I’m only looking for fiction and not docos or factual content.

I’m interested in hearing from you if you are;
- A millennial or zillennial from any background who wants to make moving images about your own experiences
- A writer or writer/director or producer with a script that wants to team up
- You have a script for a badass genre feature film aimed at cinematic release
- You have an ambitious premium limited series in the works that you could imagine living on an international streamer platform (we are not looking to develop web series or social based content at this time)
- You have a project of any kind which would organically suit a co-pro with one of the countries NZ has MOUs with (Australia, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Poland, The Republic of Korea, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, and the UK)

DEADLINE for submissions Sunday 24th November (as I have the readers booked, and time in December to assess!).

Thunderlips and I have had a spectacular time in South Korea so far. Picking up the Special Jury Prize in the Bucheon Choice section at 부천국제판타스틱영화제 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival is the cherry on top!
