AuDHD – a term used to describe people who’ve been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) – is on the rise, with research suggesting that up to 80% of people with ADHD can also have ASD.

"She could get me some of what I wanted but I had to wait, she told me. She would be in touch. It felt like being part of a drug deal, securing seedlings. It was all very stealth and felt like it was a big secret, even though food and gardening supplies are classified as an essential service during lockdown. Two weeks later after emailing too and fro, I had a pile of the little darlings: bamboo spinach, mustard greens and a host of other things that I couldn’t identify. I didn’t ask where they came from, I just kept mum and grateful."
