Hi . Get on board to support our KidsCan fundraiser on Saturday 21st October 9-2pm behind the Two Tides cafe. We have some art stalls and lots of great new art that's just new into town from local and NZ artists and there will be an exhibition with partially and fully donated art pieces to KidsCan, Stephan's food truck with a new surprise, Lolis oysters, hot chips and pork belly banh mi, the delicious Santa Maria pizzas and a silent auction for some kindly donated vouchers from various businesses in town. If you want to have a stall please contact Jenny on 021918395: stalls are $15 and this price goes to KidsCan. We have donated approx $3500 now and the other day we sold Susan Dunster 's $500 donated beautiful art piece : thank you Susan . Loeci Cohen has also kindly donated this colourful piece see below. Any other people wanting to come and play music we'd love to have you to liven up the event so text me for a rough timeline or if you want to donate a product or service we'd appreciate any kindness. We are always looking for volunteers to help run our gallery which has some fully and partially donated art works going to KidsCan. Volunteering is easy - just wrap the sales and write them in the book and close the gate up. Even a 3 hour help every few weeks is appreciated!
Thanks so much to Shine, Tairua Butchers, My Thai, Santa Maria, All Things Organic and Golddiggers for offering to give donations so far and for Garnham to play some of his gorgeous Spanish guitar music. Looking forward to a great day and the weather looks awesome too - 20-21 deg days yay
I always believe What goes around comes around! so please let me know if you can donate your time or anything to spread some kindness and love for the children in poverty in NZ.
I'll close off with sharing Matt Lansdowne's new painting for sale in the Wood Bay Studio gallery that sums up my philosophy as well. He didn't want to part with it but here it is for sale and this is how he describes what it represents: "It's a mind set of generosity attracts light and gives light to the world. There's two ways of living : One is with a mind set of a closed hand which is " I live to get what I need which is a selfish kind of lifestyle and the other mindset is the one of an open hand which is a mindset that wants to bless and give to the world around us and it's a generous mindset which attracts light and gives light to the world"
Thanks for your kindness. I love children and see them as the future of NZ and as an ex primary school teacher am passionate about helping feed and clothe the children in poverty in NZ.
