This week our lovely member Jordan taught us a Congolese folk song called “Banaha”, which she learned when she spent some time in Tanzania. This song is so well known in the region that it can be found on Spotify! We love being able to learn about, and appreciate other cultures through music!

You’ll have to take our word for it that both we and our audience members were smiling our asses off at the close of our gorgeous gig the other weekend😁😁😁🥹👏In her new book Average at Best, legend (and SHE crush) says, “Choir is heaven on Earth”, and the pure joy in our hearts seconds that 1000000%. Plus, everyone’s generous donations raised about $1000 for ! Ngā mihi nui to every single person who played a part, including our talented guest performer . Choir forever! Footage to come! ❤️

📻Breaking news⚡️We’ve got a special guest joining us at our show next Sunday! Friend of SHE and brilliantly talented musician is gon’ play a few tunes - and we’re looking forward to enjoying them right along with you! Auckland Old Folks Association, 8 Gundry Street is the place to be at 4pm next Sunday 30 November. Bring your fam, mates and gold coin koha (to be donated to charity - see our previous post), and you’ll be in for a heart-warming couple of hours that’ll leave you with a smile on your dial and some of the best songs ever written stuck in your head (in a good way). Sounds like a Sunday arvo well spent 🎶😁❤️

Woohoo, have we got a snazzy line-up planned for you on Sunday 30 November! Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Kate Bush, Chappell Roan… not even Bruce Springsteen is safe from our rearrangement of epic hits into three (and sometimes four and five)-part harmony! Come one, come all for a truly joyful, uplifting celebration of music and community ☺️We hope to see you there! 💥🎶🎤

This is us making the Beatles’ All You Need Is Love extra-cute at Art Day for Gender Equality in March, although we first performed it at our end-of-year gig a few months before. We can hardly believe it’s that time of year again, but if you’d like to join us for our 2025 wrap-up show, you should save the date! We had an absolute blast farewelling our gorgeous who has moved back home. In true SHE style, we said goodbye in the only way we know how…karaoke!! 🎤 Wishing you all the best, gal. We will miss you and your powerhouse voice! 💕💕💕
