Hanna Morrell Guest spot, Monday September 21st at the Bunker! She brings her own personal brand of controlled chaos with her stream-of-consciousness songwriting style and catchy banjo-driven singalongs. She'll keep you on your toes as she jumps between serious and humourous, then back again. Her love language is you laughing at her jokes - so don't leave her hanging!

Coming up at the Bunker! Monday, August 31st, a Club Night with a special 'mini' guest spot featuring Hamish and Nicole. Come along and hear their lovely harmonies and perform a few numbers. Floor singers welcome!
Monday September 7th features Micheal Young performing a guest spot. His love for vocal harmonies has grown from his participation in the New Zealand bands “Wires & Wood”, “Too Far Gone”, “ReInTarNayShun” and "Rainberry Pie", as well as his album of duets “Double Helix”. Along the way he became a successful recording engineer, producing two Tui award winning albums. After honing his skills on upright bass he became a founding member of the up and coming folk/rock/soul band “Albi & The Wolves” which is keeping him very busy at the moment.

Bunker Hill Unplugged was off the charts fun last night. There were two acts; Miho's Jazz Orchestra and Albi and the Wolves. The place was packed and there was fire!

Two luminaries of the New Zealand folk scene return to the Bunker. Expect a mix of British and Irish trad, blues and gospel. Door sales, tickets $20. Doors open at 7:30.

Rainberry Pie guest spot at the Bunker Monday May 25th.

The core of Rainberry Pie is the sometimes edgy, sometimes dulcet, and always enchanting vocal harmonies of Deborah Mackenzie and Micheal Young. The vocals are backed up by a well defined acoustic instrumental groove. Not willing to be constrained to a narrow genre, Rainberry Pie explores many acoustic styles from alt-country, western swing, bluegrass, and pop, all while maintaining a cohesive and distinctive Rainberry sound. Deborah plays percussion. Micheal plays guitar. David Blackman provides tasty fills on fiddle and mandolin while Cathy Dyer lays down a solid foundation on double bass.
There will be floor singers in the first half of the night. Rainberry Pie will perform in the second half. Members $5, non-members $8.
