Every one of Steve's pieces starts long before it gets to the store. Some locations take ages to get right.
He might visit half a dozen times and walk away without taking a single photo because the light isn't quite there, the tide isn't right, or the weather hasn't done what you hoped.
Then one morning everything comes together for just a few minutes.
That's often the image that eventually becomes the artwork.
Looking at the finished piece, it's easy to think it all happened in an instant. In reality, it can be the result of years of returning to the same place, waiting for that one moment.
