✨Performer Spotlight - Carla & Aidan✨

After deciding to learn to dance bachata together in 2024, Aidan and Carla quickly caught the dance bug, shortly joining new classes, teams, and travelling overseas to international dance festivals.

They are now excited to present their first bachata couples routine they will be taking to compete at World Salsa Solo in December, debuting their costumes made at home by Carla.

✨Performer Spotlight - Tessa & Eduardo✨

After performing and competing together last year, Eduardo and Tessa decided to take up the challenge of a couples choreography. With Tessa’s background in ballet and Eduardo’s in hip hop, they bring a unique style to the dance floor. Over the past few years they have developed a strong friendship through the hours of training, laughs and challenges shared. This will make for a sad goodbye as Tessa leaves Auckland at the end of the year, Por Si No Te Vuelvo a Ver or Incase I Don’t See You Again 😭😭

Belonging Matters 💕 It’s Mental Health Awareness Week in Aotearoa and we want to highlight this years theme of “belonging matters”.

We love our dance family and strive to make KD Dance a space of inclusion, connection and community. Belonging is about feeling connected, to people, to a place or to a community - we hope that you can feel the same sense of belonging as we do to our little dance school 💕

Five ways to wellbeing this week:
- Connect: With others, listen, check in
- Give: Your time, your words, your presence
- Be Active: Do what you can, do what you love
- Take Notice: Reflect, enjoy the simple things
- Keep Learning: Embrace new experiences, see opportunities
