Welcome to the Auckland Quilt Guild (AQG). Formed in 1985, we are one of the largest in NZ.

Auckland Quilt Guild members are welcome to attend monthly meetings for a day of quilt-related activities. This gives members the opportunity to meet other quilters and friends, view works in progress, access a substantial library, be inspired, have fun and even add to your stash from the Merchant stall. Members can take part in our annual showcase the Auckland Festival of Quilts, as well as other exhibitions and challenges throughout the year.

This is the raffle quilt for our market day on November 14tth
There are big themed baskets of goodies to be raffled as well.
It's going to be a fun day. Hope to see you all there!

On Tuesday, we delivered 20 community quilts
To Mercy Hospice. It was lovely to be able to donate so many quilts to those who need them.

We are having a fun filled market day on November the 14th.
Save the date, we would love to see you there!

Once a month, a talented team come together at Onehunga Community House to prep donated quilt tops with batting and backing to
have ready for guild members to quilt. They are then donated to various Community groups.
Here are Jesse, Jane and Marilyn with a quilt top ready to go!

Our free drop in/sew day is this Saturday 23rd May 2026. Onehunga Community House
9.30am - 4pm
Bring a friend/bring an unfinished project/
Come for the day or for a while.
Do your own project or join in with hand stitching or machining quilts from the community effort at the Auckland Art Gallery
Last November, help us complete some quilts for the Auckland City Mission.
Bring your own machine, sewing supplies, a mug and your lunch.

At our May meeting I spotted
Janet Danks working on her Caswell quilt. It's nearly finished and I cant wait to see it completed, its so beautiful

At our May meeting on Saturday, our Merchant was Lou from All Things Bernina
She had lots of goodies!
We have a visiting Merchant at our of our meetings, its a great way of seeing whats new and exciting!

Today is Anzac day. This amazing quilt was made by Annie White and is called "the road home"
Made for a Dorothy Collard Challenge a few years back.

One of our members was using this fabulous
1950's featherweight sewing machine at our open sewing weekend a few weeks ago.
Isn't it great to still see these old machines in use? Do you sew on a vintage machine?
